The Birds by Corey Arnold
This is an example of stuff that makes me angry (I mean no offense to Sara Wood: she merely posted this photo because she liked it)
See this pretty photo above? This is a photo from Corey Arnold, although you wouldn’t know it unless you have seen it before. Luckily I’ve been a big fan of his work for several years now, and I recognized it.
What happened is this person created a Flickr account, which they use to post images from other people. Now, no credit is given on most of the images on that account. It isn’t until you view their profile you find they say they give credit when posting to their blog. Maybe they do, but I’m not going to go hunt it down.
The problem is, someone whom hasn’t seen this photo before comes across it on Flickr, thinking that “heylove” is the original artist. So then the photo makes the blogging rounds pointing back to them and they get all the credit.
Unfortunately this is the crap we deal with by posting our images in public, and there is little that can be done. That is why it is up to us whom post or blog people’s work to be HONEST & DECENT human beings.
get em Brian. but actually there is a lot of truth to this and it has caused me to not follow several tumblr’s becasue they dont give credit when it is due.
Chad Carpenter’s Tundra® comics have always been right down my alley carrying heavy doses of tongue-in-cheek humor and applying nonsensical situations to a variety of animals/things - my personal favorite Frosty.
Above is from the June 2008 archive and the rest here (scroll sidebar). Vociferously laughing along and frightening those around you is encouraged.
always love a good comic strip
Last week I was up at M.I.T. for a cover shoot for the March/April ‘10 issue of I.D.. Just yesterday we were photographing product at my studio for different spots in the magazine. Everybody was over at my place. Nobody had any idea.
It was a great magazine to shoot for and an amazing art and editorial team to work with.
It is a sad day. I.D. will be missed.BREAKING: After 55 Years in Print, Design Icon I.D. Magazine Folds - Fast Company
another one bites the dust…sad

Skateboarders in the City Museum of St. Louis, as if the place could have been any more fun.

@newlywedsontjob
I can’t explain it, but I’m really really enjoying this anonymous prank twitter bot which logs how often, how vigorously and for how long a newlywed couple are knockin’ boots.
When it pops up unexpectedly on your twitter stream: so good.
oh this is great…definitely worth the 2 minutes to read
Bobby over at Kitsune Noir asked me if I’d be interested in making a poster inspired by one of my favorite books. Of course I was.
